Indications for Pelvic Scans

  • Young girls – Abnormal bleeding ,pelvic pain and suspected pelvic mass
  • Young women -
  • Pre pregnancy – To screen the uterus and ovaries prior to planning pregnancy
  • Peroid problems ,pelvic pain ,Fertility scans ( Follicle scans ,Baseline scan befor starting fertility treatment ,3D uterus imaging ,look for fibroids ,endometriois ,polyp ,ovarian masses ).Pregnancy complications – Ectopic pregnancy ,molar pregnancy ,abortion .
  • PCOS – Advanced imaging to accurately diagnose PCOS based on current scientific recommendations
  • To look for IUCDS (Cu-T ,Mirena)
  • Senior Women - Menopause ,postmenopausal bleeding and urinary incontinence.
